Detailed introduction
NT-proBNP, also known as N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide, is a common biomarker for early diagnosis and severity assessment of heart failure. Biologically inactive, it originates from the cleavage of pre-proBNP (secreted when ventricular volume or pressure load increases) into proBNP, followed by the release of NT-proBNP—a linear 76-amino acid fragment. NT-proBNP is particularly critical for diagnosing and prognosticatingheart failure in patients with chronic kidney disease. Additionally, NT-proBNP is not limited to cardiovascular risk assessment but also aids in prognosis evaluation.
▏Intended Use
For in vitro quantitative detection of NT-proBNP in human serum, plasma, or whole blood.Clinically used for auxiliary diagnosis of heart failure.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
