Detailed introduction
D-Dimer is the final product of cross-linked fibrin degradation by plasmin. The fibrinolytic system is one of the important anticoagulant systems in the human body, essential for maintaining normal blood flow. Its main function is to dissolve fibrin deposits in blood vessels, aiding tissue repair and preventing vascular blockages caused by fibrin deposition. Vascular endothelial cells contain large amounts of plasminogen activators, which convert plasminogen to plasmin. When coagulation occurs, thrombin acts on fibrinogen, converting it to cross-linked fibrin. Simultaneously, the fibrinolytic system is activated, degrading cross-linked fibrin into various degradation products, among which D-Dimer specifically reflects thrombolytic activity after thrombus formation. Therefore, plasma D-Dimer is a specific molecular marker for coagulation activation and secondary fibrinolysis in the body.
▏Intended Use
For the quantitative in vitro determination of D-Dimer in human whole blood and plasma samples.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
