Detailed introduction
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a 25 kDa secreted glycopeptide composed of 184 amino acids, belonging to the interleukin family. It is produced by fibroblasts, monocytes/macrophages, T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, epithelial cells, keratinocytes, and various tumor cells. IL-6 acts on multiple cell types and is a key player in the cytokine network. It has widespread clinical applications, such as regulating the growth and differentiation of various cells, immune responses, and involvement in the pathological processes of numerous clinical diseases. These include bacterial infections, neonatal sepsis, respiratory failure, systemic lupus erythematosus, enteritis, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, and various other acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.
▏Intended Use
For the quantitative in vitro determination of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in human serum, plasma, and whole blood.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
