Detailed introduction
The endogenous factors for vitamin B12, a protein secreted by the mural cells of the gastric mucosa. Vitamin B12 and endogenous factors form a complex and attach to the intestinal mucosa, where a protein called transcobalamin transports vitamin B12 from mucosal cells to the blood and tissues. Most of vitamin B12 is stored in the liver as well as in the bone marrow and other tissues. Vitamin B12 and folate are essential for normal DNA synthesis, and vice versa can affect red blood cell maturation. Vitamin B12, which is also required for myelination and maintenance.
▏Intended Use
For the quantification of vitamin B12 (VB12) in human serum or plasma.Vitamin B12, also known as cyanocobalamin, is a complex gololine compound containing four pyrrole rings around a cobalt atom. Humans can only obtain vitamin B12 from animal dietary sources such as meat, eggs and milk.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
