▏β-hCG Rapid Detection Kit
β-hCG is a glycoprotein secreted by the trophoblast cells of the placenta, consists of alpha- and beta-dimerized glycoproteins. The α-subunit is common to anterior pituitary hormones; the β-subunit is specific to β-hCG.The main function of β-hCG is to stimulate the corpus luteum, favoring the sustained secretion of estrogen and luteinizing hormone in order to promote uterine metamorphosis and the growth and maturation of the placenta. The modern belief is that HCG is produced by trophoblast transitional and syncytiotrophoblast cells. It proliferates rapidly during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy to maintain the pregnancy. After about 8 weeks of gestation, β-hCG gradually declines until it reaches relative stability at about 20 weeks.Currently, the following tests are commonly used: latex set inhibition test and hemagglutination inhibition test; radioimmunoassay (RIA); enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); and colloidal gold test with monoclonal antibodies.
▏Intended Use
It in used for in vitro qualitative detection of HCG in human urine samples.
▏Storage And Stability
Unopened: Store sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
Opened Test Kit: Use within 1 hour under humidity ≤60% and temperature 10°C–30°C.
