Detailed introduction
TSH is one of the hormones secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. Its main function is to control and regulate thyroid activity. Measurement of TSH is an important indicator for the diagnosis and treatment of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, as well as for studying the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis. It is an indispensable tool for diagnosing hypothyroidism and differentiating between primary and secondary (hypothalamic or pituitary) hypothyroidism. In the treatment of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, TSH can serve as an indicator for evaluating therapeutic efficacy. Additionally, it can be used to observe the reserve function of pituitary TSH and further distinguish between hypothalamic and pituitary lesions. TSH testing is an initial screening test for assessing thyroid function.
▏Intended Use
For the in vitro quantitative detection of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) content in human serum, plasma, and whole blood.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
