Detailed introduction
LH is a glycoprotein gonadotropin, also known as Interstitial Cell-Stimulating Hormone (ICSH). It is a large glycoprotein secreted by the basophilic cells of the anterior pituitary gland. LH consists of two non-conjugated subunits, α and β, with the β subunit determining its molecular specificity, enabling it to recognize appropriate target tissues and bind to specific receptors to exert its physiological functions. Its primary role is to stimulate the release of mature ova from the ovaries. Normal females maintain trace amounts of LH. During mid-menstrual cycle, LH secretion rapidly increases, forming an "LH surge," which stimulates the release of mature ova from the ovaries within 24-60 hours. Therefore, women are most fertile 1-3 days before and after the "LH surge."
▏Intended Use
It is used in vitro quantitative determination of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) content in human serum, plasma, and whole blood.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
