Detailed introduction
T3 is a hormone synthesized and secreted by the thyroid gland (approximately 20%) or converted via 5'-deiodination of thyroxine (approximately 80%). It has a molecular weight of 651 Da and is the most biologically active thyroid hormone known, with 3-5 times the activity of thyroxine (T4). In the circulation, 99.7% of T3 is bound to binding proteins; the physiologically active form is free T3 ( fT3). While fT3 detection offers good sensitivity and specificity for disease diagnosis, it is more susceptible to interference from certain diseases and drugs, potentially leading to falsely elevated or decreased results. Clinically, it is mainly used to assist in the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and the evaluation of clinical therapeutic efficacy.
▏Intended Use
It is used in vitro quantitative determination of Free Triiodothyronine (fT3) content in human serum, plasma, and whole blood.
▏Storage And Stability
Store the kit sealed and protected from light at 4°C–30°C. Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening, use within 1 hour under conditions of ≤60% humidity and 10°C–30°C.
